Turnkey Delivery
tect’s Earth’smart™ Path A aligns architecture, engineering, construction, permit strategy, and manufacturer input into one coordinated team from concept through construction.
Build a custom steel frame home with a fully aligned team focused on fire resilience, seismic performance, and long-term comfort. tect coordinates architecture, engineering, construction, manufacturer input, and WUI-ready systems from the start—helping Pacific Palisades and California homeowners create durable, low-maintenance homes built to perform for generations.

Integrated custom home building services for resilient, non-combustible, high-performance homes in wildfire-prone regions.
tect’s Earth’smart™ Path A aligns architecture, engineering, construction, permit strategy, and manufacturer input into one coordinated team from concept through construction.
Homes are engineered for WUI conditions with fire-resistive assemblies, Class A roofing, ember-resistant details, defensible-space coordination, and insurance-aligned documentation.
Non-combustible steel-framed and hybrid structural systems are coordinated with seismic, envelope, roof, and fire-resistive requirements for long-term residential performance.
tect specifies integrated non-combustible systems including steel framing, CMU, ICF, AAC, mineral wool, fiber cement, fire-rated openings, and ember-resistant vents.
Dedicated fire water supply, vapor-dome perimeter protection, FIREBOZZ® water cannons, and smart water technologies are planned alongside the home’s structural systems.
Healthy, energy-efficient systems include filtered fresh air, all-electric mechanical equipment, solar and battery storage, smart monitoring, leak detection, and water-saving technology.

The process begins with a discovery conversation to understand the property, budget range, design ambitions, wildfire exposure, insurance concerns, and whether Path A turnkey delivery or Path B advisory is the right fit.
tect brings commercial-grade coordination to custom homes built for real-world risk.
One coordinated team manages concept, engineering, construction strategy, and delivery from the beginning.
Designs respond to Pacific Palisades wildfire exposure, ember risk, and California WUI expectations.
The TectApp™ community connects projects with 70+ manufacturers before key systems are selected.
Documentation supports brokers and underwriters evaluating fire-resilient homes in high-risk California markets.
Architect-led guidance for resilient custom home delivery.

AIA
Bob Habian, AIA, is a licensed architect and a driving force behind Tect's mission to deliver 100+ year homes built to perform across structure, systems, and envelope. Serving homeowners in Pacific Palisades and surrounding high-risk areas, Bob brings deep expertise in resilient design, system integration, and construction coordination. His work is rooted in a belief that homes should be permanent upgrades — engineered to withstand fire, flood, and earthquake exposure while minimizing long-term maintenance costs. Bob leads Tect's fully aligned approach, connecting clients with the TectApp community of 70+ building product manufacturers to ensure the right expertise is involved from concept through construction. His commitment is to homes that are not only durable and safe but built forward for generations to come.
Steel framing is non-combustible and can be coordinated with other fire-resistive systems such as Class A roofing, ember-resistant vents, mineral wool insulation, fire-rated openings, and non-combustible exterior assemblies. tect treats steel framing as part of a whole-home performance strategy, not a standalone product, so structure, envelope, suppression, and site planning work together.
